Vajranandacharya is a United States-based non-profit organization duly registered in California. Vajranandacharya operates the BuddhaDojo (hereinafter, “us” or “we” or “Sangha”) has established this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect and use your information. 

Information We Collect About You & How We Use the Information

When you access our website or mobile apps (collectively, our “Sites”), we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers, apps and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use its website. From time to time, we may review non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., a report on trends in the usage of its website. 

We collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, Media Access Control (MAC) address, geolocation, device type, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version, and browser click-through and usage data. We use this information to improve our Sites. 


We use cookies, pieces of numeric data stored on your computer so that we can identify when you return to our Site. Usage of cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information. You can select to disable cookies by changing your browser settings. If you choose to disable cookies in your browser, you will be unable to access portions of our website content.


When you become a member of the Sangha


When you become a member of  our Sangha, we ask you for your full name, email address, date of birth, physical addresses, and phone number. We use this information to onboard you into the Sangha, send you non-marketing communications, track attendance at Sangha events and for logistical purposes related to such events, and send you our email newsletter. We may also ask you to provide career and  compensation information; we use this information to help connect you with programs that are tailored for you. 

As a part of our diversity initiatives, we may request demographic information such as your race, gender identity and sexual orientation. We collect this information to prepare periodic reports, which will be used by the diversity team (the “Diversity Org”) to serve the Sangha’s diversity and inclusion efforts. 

You acknowledge that your input is provided on a voluntary basis. We understand that some of your answers may be sensitive in nature. Your responses will be stored securely while in our possession. If you choose to share your personal information with us, you agree that we have your permission to store, process and use your information pursuant to the terms of our privacy policy. With respect to demographic information, the information you provide will not be shared with anyone other than the Diversity Org leadership and their delegates. 

When you donate to the Sangha

When you donate to the Sangha, we receive your checks and related financial information. We use this information to process the payments and are presented to our partner bank.  We do not store this information in our systems. 

How We Protect Your Information.

The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us and we take reasonable precautions to protect it. However, notwithstanding such precautions, we assume no responsibility for the security of our Sites or any data transmitted to the Sangha.

Information We Share


The information we collect about you will be used by authorized Sangha members, employees and/or contractors that need to know the information. Some of those members, employees and/or contractors may be located outside of your home country; by using the Sangha’s websites and being a part of the Sangha’s activities, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone.


Third Party Services


We use third party services such as but not limited to email clients, Google Drive, Google suite, Salesforce, Zoom and others to communicate with you and for the day-to-day operations of the Sangha. Please review their privacy policies to evaluate the data that they collect, process and access about your activity through their services. 


Law Enforcement 


We may be required to disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order,other governmental request, or other legal process to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
